A Prickly Situation

I saw this in Coastal Peak Park while trail running the other day. Not as cool as the waterfalls and cascades that @Bart Carrig found while he was trail running, but in these dusty dry SoCal hills I have to take what I can get.

I liked how the flowers lined up in this.

Nice - you should have some great cacti blooms this year is you haven't already had them. That's hardly a frail looking prickly pear with these blooms.

Yep, they have huge stands of these cactus back where I run, so it's cool to see when they are all in bloom. Most of them are just alongside the trail so it's easy to shoot them.
