A kid with a toy.

I feel like a kid with a new toy as I walk each day around Victoria in the plus double digit temperature and think about the double digit minus temp and ice and snow back home. I can't seem to get enough of this little Anna's Hummingbird. It was overcast today and I was able to capture the wonderful colour of the feathers as the bird was shaking its tail.
Also got images of a Bewick's Wren which is a new species for me to see and photograph.

Great shots of these little birds. Interesting to see the results when a Real Bird Photographer(TM) starts shooting the species that hang out around my house :)

That's got to be so cool to be in much warmer weather. Yesterday morning when I work up in New Mexico it was 30 degrees out, by the time I got to California later in the day as I was traveling, it was 82 degrees out. That was quite the swing!

I sure like this, catching hummingbirds is something I have rarely been able to capture. So that has to be cool as well.

Thanks so much Jim.
