A Haskap is born.

With such a long winter in Saskatchewan it is exciting to see spring start to explode. The Haskaps are supporting the early pollinators and the berries are starting to grow.

Thanks Kevin.. There was a lot of development done here at the University of Saskatchewan Plant Science Dept. by Dr. Bob Bors. They bred varieties that would withstand the harsh winters here on the prairies. Most of the varieties used locally come from this breeding program. More Info here:
