A Grand View

It was raining cats and dogs when we arrived at the south entrance to Grand Canyon NP around noon, the sky a dark gray. It wasn't until we were on our way out of the park the next morning that the sun finally peeked through, giving us a taste of how gorgeous the views can be when the weather cooperates. 590nm converted Nikon Z5.

I really like the gray look to the rocks you are getting. I must be doing something wrong as I dont think I get that tone. I really like this look!

Definitely not the usual view of the canyon with the IR capture/processing. Nice it did clear up before you were long gone.
Thanks Alan, we did spend a bit of time watching the rain through the car windows the first night. The following morning was much better!

Jim, I have been using Rob Shea's Infrared Profile download to get to a good starting place for the 590. The -100 degree works best for me. Give it a try ...

Looks really nice in this palette. I wouldn’t have guessed this to be Grand Canyon.
Thanks Jameel, most of the rocks just go gray or brown in IR, it's only the foliage that makes it go a bit beyond monochrome.
