I like the clouds in this scene. What is the source of these boulders? They look quite out of place from this point of view.

Good eye Alan. I don't know but you are right they look out of place geologically unless they are sun bleached.
Hey Tom, I like the look of this, and that is some nice soft light. You worked the boulders really well I will say, but there is a part of me that wonders if you stepped in from of the boulders and took the same shot but with a winding shoreline in the foreground instead?

The boulders really anchor (pun intended) the scene and add to the depth. Great sky, too.

Beautifully done image, Tom. My Guess is that there must have been a flash flood that carried these boulders to this location. They are rounded suggesting transportation by a stream and are not like the local rocks at the base of these cliffs. This is strictly a guess because I can't see the surroundings.

Really nice, Tom. The unusually light boulders really add to the "whole" of this picture.
