If you have experienced issues logging in today, it was because of a Bot attack. It looks like someone in China got mad at us and we were experiencing 80,000 hits a min on the Forum.
The Technician where our Server is hosted said that they probably weren't interested in FocalWorld personally, they were trying to find a vulnerability on our Forum, to then use as a back door to get into the Server itself, and then into the Backplane, etc, etc...
So the Tech blocked all of those attacks, we may not be getting any new members from China at this point as at least a part of China did get blocked.
I just wanted to update everyone on what was happening. Hopefully it won't happen again, but in today's crazy world of hackers, who knows.
