I have spent more than a handful of evenings at Ruby Beach trying to capture neat sunsets and there are occasions where the reward makes the wait for a good one worthwhile. For the evening in question in this case it started out looking like another dud with the marine layer blotting out the colors but just as the last glimpses of the sun disappeared behind the low clouds the sky above lit up.
This is an 8 panel panorama shot with a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L positioned vertically. My computers have almost groaned whenever I bring up the image since the stitched result is 16960 x 5320 pixels. At 240dpi it prints 70" x 22".
C&C always welcome.
