Thank you very much Michael, glad you liked it - it's actually moving clouds and long exposure, not sun rays, creating the effect you likes in #1!
Hey Jim, yes, the Dolomites are special and I am always happy to go back there!
#1 is one of my favourite spots there, the Tre Cime from that...
In 2024, between Workshops and personal work, my wife and I spent about a month on the amazing Italian Dolomites. I first visited the Dolomites as a child, visiting multiple times; in 2017, I first went to the Dolomites as a landscape photographer and went back almost every year since, either...
Than kyou very much, glad you enjoyed it! It's a lovely subject to photograph indeed.
Hello Alan, thank you very much, glad you enjoyed them! I do love these landscapes, and the variety of light and shooting situations they offer. I also love how they are at the same time world-famous...
In October 2024, my wife and I spent ten days in Cinque Terre & Tuscany between Workshops and personal work. We have been traveling to both these destinations so often in the last decade that they always felt like home to us. We loved Tuscany so much that in 2023 we made it our actual home...
Thank you Kyle, glad you enjoyed the read & the work with it. Indeed, as a sole camera the single focal length is way too limiting - I was interested in seeing how it behaved for the kind of work I do, and the GFX100RF passed that test with flying colours. I enjoy having my own as a backup to my...
Hey Jim,
thank you for taking the time to read and comment, much appreciated - the GFX100RF is a really lovely camera to use and can create incredible images when used within its fixed lens limitations, so to speak. But, if a 28mm FOV equivalent lens is your thing, there is nothing like it...
In September 2025, Fujifilm Italy kindly loaned me a Fujifilm GFX100RF, letting me keep it until April 2026 to try it out for my landscape work. Over the six months I had the camera, except for about a month over Christmas and New Year I have been on the road non-stop, both for my personal work...
Hey Alan,
thank you so much for taking the time to read it, I am sorry to hear that you couldn't go for it back in the day - the good thing of doing it today is that you can put together a great kit for a relatively small sum of money (really small, compared to back then!). Maybe you'll find it...
Hey Jim,
thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment, truly appreciated the kind words and happy you enjoyed the trip down these last few years of large format!
Best regards,
Vieri
Hello everyone, it now has been two years since I started thinking about working with large format 4x5” film, and what an exciting, inspiring ride this has been! Working with large format proved to be everything I hoped for and more; after two years, I am fully convinced that this has been the...
Than kyou very much Alan, I am happy you enjoyed these and the long exposures!
Thank you so much, Monika, truly much appreciated!
Hey Jim, thank you for taking the time to read the article and for your kind word, glad you enjoyed the read and the photographs!
Best regards.

Loved that, Alan! It's both a waterfall and a metaphor of the falling water. One from Glencoe, in Scotland:
Shot on 4x5" Ilford Fp4+ film pn an Arca-Swiss M-Two camera.
Best regards,
Vieri
Hello everyone, I am finally back from our Spring Workshop season and have some new photographs to share with you all!
In September 2025, my wife and I flew to Bilbao in the Basque Country; after spending a couple of days there, we picked up our Workshop’s group and travelled west along the...
Thank you very much indeed, John, I am glad you enjoyed them!
Thank you very much Jameel, glad you enjoyed them! About the last image, the boat is a shipwreck, and it's stuck there - the shot has been taken with high tide, but at low tide you can pretty much walk around the boat. Hope this...
