Portraits of flowers seem to be in style here right now. This is the first bud on a new rose bush we planted last year.
It is not a cutting....I have an non-reflecting black board I place behind flowers in the garden -- the result is somewhat like Alan's recent photos here.
Here's one other...
Just a collection of good memories
Rome - in the morning light
Colmar, France......called the most beautiful small town in the world.
San Gimignano.....the small town of 5 towers in Italy
A back street in Strasbourg
The clock portal in Rouen, France
A selection of photos that I came across recently.....It seemed that people in Paris appreciate their surroundings (easy to do!). I don't know if those in these photos were visitors or residents.

The mass ascension (most mornings)
High Flyer

Getting ready...
Just a few photos of doorways, windows, and passages that caught my eye.
Florence, Italy

Roussillon, France

Seems this thread has become a bit busier. Some very interesting closeup work the past few days.
I'm a big fan of Still life photography and I like to experiment with lighting and composition. I know it's not the most popular subject -- product photography is the payoff.
For this shot, I used...
Back to trying lighting experiments now that it's turned colder & grayer outside.
Key light was a very small Godox LED source through a Westcott mini softbox. Side light was a LED lamp in a 14" reflector with a grid, and flagged to give only a small stream of light on the background. Took...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
