    Waxy.

The title refers to the white ring around the bird's eye, they are known as Silvereyes or Waxeyes, tiny and agile they are a pest for grape farmers, this one is feasting on a small orange. I believe they came to NZ from Australia, now a common sight in New Zealand.

    Tiny blooms.

Spotted in one of my plant pots, this little flower looks happy despite the low temperatures we are having. I hand-held the camera with the kit lens and the Raynox 250, it was needed because the purple flower is only 2 cm across, the seed was in a mixed flower sachet so I don't know what it is...

Who knows? Because it was there I guess, or was it because I was bored, anyway there is something about it that prevents me from deleting it, was it worth shooting, what do you think?

    A Yellow splash.

The id of this shrub in my garden has me puzzled, some say it is a cassia, others a Senna, It is about 25 feet tall and the flowers are too big for it to be a golden shower tree, any Ideas?

A couple of flower shots with an old camera.

I decided to give my old TZ10 an airing, the last shot was macro each bloom was only half a cm wide, not a bad camera in my opinion.

    Footwork.

I Put half an apple on a nail, held down with a clothes peg (otherwise the large birds fly away with the apple) tho object of this image is to illustrate the Sparrow's expertise in hanging on.

    Those boots.

A cold windy day got me playing with my toys, I selected a double decker London bus and a few figurines, a sheet of black sandpaper makes a realistic road surface, all of these were shot with a 14 42 kit lens on my old Panna G10, I hope they inspire you.

    Those Wasps?

I used a different lens this sunny morning, concentrating on one sugar-coated leaf, Wasps were prevalent and the hoverflies attack them, notice the difference in the yellow? The Wasps fly with their legs hanging down, the flies don't. The first one is a Fly, and the second one is a Wasp...
