Both appear to be looking down, but that first one has some good perspectice control.

Love the redwoods (& sequoias)! Hard to shoot, too.Great images in this tread, but I'm surprised no Redwood trees are depicted.
Maybe I should show a clear cut instead.

Not sure, maybe an elderberry? What's the foreground plant wit the berries? They make a really neat contrast to the aspen trunks for a comp. Nice job on handling the light extremes to keep the focus up front.
Thanks MonikaLove the redwoods (& sequoias)! Hard to shoot, too.
Clear cut or pile of mulch?
The most impactful shots I've seen of deforested areas have been aerials as it shows the sharp line between the untouched & damaged/gone areas. It's a good mission to have. Thanks Monika
There have been times that I thought I might be well suited to document the destruction of the world’s forests, I know others who are doing this, but I’m not sure I would have the stamina or the commitment.
As it is, the pinnacle of the natural world are it’s forrest and the wild lands. These lands are systematically being destroyed for personal gain and robbing future generations.
Those who come after us will study the natural world like we study the dinosaurs today.
Rant over.
