Trapper Creek Wilderness

In the area near Panther Creek and Falls Creek in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest is a small wilderness area known as Trapper Creek. Not much in the way of waterfalls or vast overlooks but a pocket of old growth spruce and firs that offer up clues to what the rest of the Cascades looked like before clear cuts turned them into single species tree farms.

Nice job, Alan. My favorite thing is the beautiful variety of trunks in these old growth forests. Lichens and mosses add even more interest.
