Mud Based Micro Forest

That's what I'm calling this. I'm wondering do these tiny trees get washed away with each passing storm? 590nm converted Nikon Z5

Love these mud crack photos. I am rarely happy with the result when I capture them, but I do like this one.

Interesting question you ask - the mere fact that the plants are sprouting suggests that enough of them make it to maturity to produce seeds so there must be intervals between rains long enough to allow this.

Thanks Alan. It must come down to chance as to which survive. They are in an ideal place to take advantage of what rain there is, yet the next storm could form a new wash and there goes the neighborhood!
