I have just found 2,500 files from last Autumn largely unprocessed

Taken on a trip to Northern Scotland. I had processed the easy images but many of the others were just too busy and I couldn't see an easy way to process them. I also had several thousand images from a trip to Italy to work on so they just got left. I am now cleaning out the rubbish from my drives so spent some time working out whether they should just get binned or, with a bit of work, a decent image might emerge. Lots of them are waterfalls so will appear on Wednesdays for a few months. Ken

Duncraig Castle, from this distance it looks in good condition but lots of people have bought it and found out that it will cost millions to repair properly. The original owners (1860s) persuaded the railway authorities to put in a station so that their rich guests could arrive here without travelling over the many miles of single track unpaved roads.

Wow Ken! I am so glad you decided to work on these. You have some really awesome images, and it's great to tease this upcoming fall season.

What a beautiful area to be kayaking in! I think #1, 2 and 4 are my favorites.

And that's interesting about deleting images. In the 20+ years I have had of digital photography since switching over from film. I have never once deleted an image. Not once. I probably should, and I think you are smarter off for doing it. But for myself I can never get myself to even think about it. To think about even doing it makes me all squeamish inside, like I am killing a living thing. Weird I know....

I would have to go count up all of my backup drives, but I basically fill a 20tb drive every year for backups of that year. So add that up for a few years, and you get the idea of the amount of storage I have accumulated. Of course in the early years it wasn't that much, but probably about the time DSLR's got to 36mp sensors, that's when my storage usage shot up.

Nice samples from the stash you rediscovered. Not sad at all to hear that this stash included a lot of waterfalls I love the reflections in the first two images and the last one. I would imagine the upkeep wasn't an issue for the folks that built the castle but daunting for anyone not counting their wealth in billions.
