The Owens River

Your basic mid day sunny landscape scene, but I like it. The upper Owens River in front of the Sierra Nevada in eastern California. iPhone 16 pro. And an aerial view of the river as it winds it's way towards Lake Crowley.

When I see images like this I can't help but wonder what the Owens River Valley would have looked like if L.A. hadn't hijacked most of its water. I love the aerial view with the nice serpentine path of the river and all of its shifting paths.

I really like the aerial view. It makes me want to explore each bend in the river

Thanks Kyle. That's what I was doing. And camped 25 feet from river's edge.

Wonderful images both. I have shot almost the same viewpoint as the first one. The aerial view is special.

Both are very nice images Jeffrey! I like the simplicity of #1, and it does make for a very enjoyable scene. As much as we often clamor for clouds, I think clouds can also be a distraction. With the nice blue sky the eye is allowed to enjoy the reeds in the river, the Eastern Sierra in the background.

And yeah, love that drone view! Love the way the river just curves and curves and curves.
