Yoho's Emerald Lake II

I like the wider view of the second image - the additional reflections along the shores of the lake on the right add a lot to the scene.

Love them both. The fence is a stronger leading line in the first with the cabin off center. The foreground snow in the second is a strong anchor.

Two completely different feelings to these comps. I don't disagree with the previous comments, but I'm partial to the 1st just a little bit more.
Either by themselves would be excellent!

Hey Kyle, both of these are super cool looking!

I like the symmetry of the open water in #2, but I also wonder if cropping off the right 1/3rd would work for a comp?

I much prefer #2 for the sinous curve of snow. Just too bad the snow on the bottom left is disturbed. This is a niggle of mine I fight with on most of my ski pictures - I have to work hard to set it up so I get a skier swooping down in clean snow without any other tracks (including mine!). Still a beautiful shot.

Thanks Jim - I'll have to see what kind of cleanup work I can do on that :)
