Thursday’s Task

Could be a fun one and your excellent examples point out that we shouldn't necessarily be focused on ocean shores. I like your Beal Park, Sand Hollow State Park, and Oxbow Bend shots in particular.

Alan, beautiful images (as usual!) and thank you for sharing them! I especially love the Bandon sunset shore image—very nice! Love the centered sun in your composition. The Jackson Lake sunrise is a very nice composition captured, I especially like the curved shoreline foreground. The Columbia River sunset is another favorite—love the captured colors here. Nice. The Deep Lake image with the forest and its reflection looks inviting—‘shore’ is pretty!

Jeffrey, one word…Wow! Love them all (and thank you for sharing). The California shores are well seen and captured. I especially favor the B&W image of San Simeon Point! The black sand beach sunrise from Cameroon is a special as well, a perfect sight well captured! The Patagonia image is another favorite—the light, composition, and colors are perfect. Very, very nice!

Jameel, in your post today, I have four favorites. Yes, that would be all of them! Great light and composition in each. The reflection in the Mono Lake is perfect, the Oregon Coast image has an interesting capture of the waves against the rocks. I like the Big Sur, cool and warm color contrast, a beautiful scene captlured well. The Cape Kiwanda‘s incredible sky is memorabl and so glad you’ve shared this experience. Thank you for sharing.

Stork Clouds of a Local Lake
Larry, four very nice images! I like the Meadow Lake, complete with fishermen…and one very good photographer! Beautiful clouds captured in the sky and reflection below. Another beautiful scene—with perfect reflection in your Stonehouse Park scene. Nice. My favorite is the Sprague Lake image—a truly beautiful landscape well captured! Good foreground bordering a majestic view of the lake, trees, and mountains beyond. Very nice! Your last image of a local lake depicting approaching storm clouds is also an image worth capturing and remembering. Thank you for sharing each of these Larry!

A day late with this, but I just processed it today while going through my photos from Piran. This is the Adriatic coastline on the south side of Piran, Slovenia looking toward the lighthouse.

Thank you Kyle for sharing this exotic (to me) ‘shore-scape’ with us. The site’s architecture and colors are very visually appealing. Nice!

Craig, these gorgeous images easily have sufficient shoreline to qualify this week’s Task—and a variety of seasons to boot! I especially love “Up The Creek” (love the title too) and the “Old Fishing Hole” (perfect composition and a very nice image! Speaking of composition—“Seasonal Transition” with the perfect foreground. Nice. Perhaps my overall favorite might be “Otter Eye View”—love the orange and blue contrast doubled with the reflection. Very nice! Thank you Craig for sharing each of these.

And…love the titles.
