A Winter Sunset at the Chasm +edit

This is a sunset view overlooking Cook's Chasm from an early December visit a number of years ago. The winter sun angle is too far south for nice views of Thor's Well and the setting sun and as the evening progressed I ended up shooting this view of Cook's Chasm instead.

New version with horizon cleaned up.

Beautiful picture, but why do I have the impression the horizon line is not straight ?

Thanks Doug - it was a nice way to end a not-so-exciting sunset.

Those look like some serious waves. Nice colors in the sky as well.

Thanks Jameel - the waves are why I visit so often during the winter months. Sunsets don't often work out well in the winter so any colors are a plus on top of the wave action.

That's a great view! And it reminds me that I need to get back up there, it's been a while.

Thanks Jim - good sunsets can be hard to come by this time of year and sadly they aren't really predictable when lots of storms are passing through. You can get breaks in the middle of nasty storms with little advance notice which boils down to whether you were close by when the break happens.
