This is an old sunset shot taken from near the Hans Flat Ranger Station in Canyonlands National Park. We were camped out near the ranger station for 8 weeks during archaeological field school in 1975 during an unusually wet summer and things got kind of crazy during the monsoon season. The night this image was taken we had a 360 degree sky show and the hardest part was trying to decide which way to point my camera. Scanned from Agfachrome 64 slide film.

Perhaps my favorite subject - what makes most good landscape shots. Of course the colors can be fantastic, but I often prefer the drama of B&W.

Well, I'm late to the party as well, watched too much football yesterday. Here's a slow shutter shot of Mt. LeConte in the Smokies after a Spring storm with clouds rushing past; all during the blue hour.
