Alan, great series of paths! I think my favorite image is the Colonial Creek Trail and second would be the Trapper Creek Wilderness area trail. In the last shot, was that taken on your way out or way in to the location? I see a lot of tripods! I imagine your images from this location are quite nice. One of my favorite subjects

Thanks John - in the last shot I was shooting Latourell Falls from a small footbridge and chuckling about the fact that I brought along ice cleats for my boots and could shoot by myself while the rest of the photographers were stuck trying to avoid each other and stay upright farther back on the icy trail.Alan, great series of paths! Ben, I don't usually shoot them myself either––perhaps include an image where you made the initial "path" into a scene––others may have followed later!I was not able to find one, but these are some great images, I must try to include a path in some of my future images.
Wow! Your first image is stunning––love everything about this one! I like the third image as well––beautiful light! (I thought Los Angeles was a much larger city and friendlier! (Love the sign!)Thanks for starting this, John. I like the trail reminders to go back and get your tripod!

Doug, a beautiful scene––as I replied to Ben, I don't usually include paths either for your same reasons.I, like Ben, have little to offer. I was taught to leave anything that indicated the hand of man out of my landscape images. I do however have one image in Drury Cheney Redwood State Park in California.

Thanks, John. The city of Los Angeles gets its water from this part of California. It owns large portions of the land around Bishop, particularly around creeks and rivers like Owens River. The people of Owens Valley do not like LA; there is a long history of Owens Valley residents blowing up the LA Aqueduct with dynamite!Wow! Oh man Ben! You need to! I have shot maybe 4 or 5 different paths in just the last 5 days.I was not able to find one, but these are some great images, I must try to include a path in some of my future images.
Jameel, very nice images––the Paradise trail (well-named) is so beautiful and well captured. The Redwoods image is my favorite though with the shafts of light—perfect!I have a few.

Dan, very nice images you’ve shared. Beautiful autumn trail scenes in two of your images. The two Mirror Lake trail images look inviting and are well composed—the Bristlecone trail image is my favorite.Near Lundy Canyon campgrounds
