Yesterday around Brampton

Lots of rain at the moment but not quite as much as forecast "only" 17 inches in 3 days. The light in between the heavy rain is quite dramatic so a walk with gore tex and an umbrella
I had spotted this lone tree a long time ago and thought that with some Autun colour it could look good. Unfortunately it is an oak tree and here they don't tend to produce much colour.


This image, taken from my house looking over the town was taken at 1:15, with daylight saving time this is 15minutes after "mid day"


In mid afternoon the light lifted and I went for another walk

Interesting your oaks don't display much color - they are amongst the most colorful in my area. I do like the isolated tree even if it doesn't put on a color show. The dark skies are more than slightly dramatic but so are your rainfall totals. Much more and you might need to carry a paddle

I love that first Image. The composition and lighting are excellent.

Only 17" in 3 days? That's more then Southern California gets in 2 years...
