Saint Guirec sunset

I usually dislike the dense offshore layer that has spoiled many of my sunset images but sometimes it helps, as here in NW Brittany. We used to holiday in France in May, few tourists, warm but not hot, unfortunately the virus has stopped us for the last 2 years. Next year perhaps. Ken

We call that offshore layer the marine layer out along the west coast in America and I wish I could find compositions like the one above so I could appreciate it rather than curse at it. Very nice result - the round float is a nice visual element to match the sinking sun.

Wow... amazing! And yep, that's what we call a Marine Layer here. I am more fortunate then Alan, because we only have it really thick for a few months of the year, hence our June Gloom where it's the thickest. Since it doesn't happen all that often, I always look forward to it with the cool looks it brings to the beach.

I really like how you set this composition up Ken with the small boat in the foreground, the rocks and then the half of a sun showing just how thick that marine layer is.

Sweet and simple. Each element stands on its own, and together, just perfect!
