Good morning and welcome to another Waterfall Wednesday.

My starter falls are a distant view of Iceberg Falls in Glacier National Park. I have posted a telephoto view of these falls a while back but this is how it appears from the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail.

That's so cool Alan! I really like how this is framed! If there is a way to remove the out of focus leaves in the lower left corner, that would be my only suggestion to a really awesome photo.

Thanks - I missed that OOF set down at the bottom. Of course I can't unsee them now so I did a quick edit.

That's a great scene, Al. I don't think there are many scenes like that, and you caught it beautifully. I also see a great vertical pano if it were possible to get a little to the right.

Thanks Bart - You are correct about not too many scenes like this one. I when I first spotted this view I continued farther up the trail towards Iceberg Lake hoping for another view but had to double back when I discovered this was the only clear window to the falls. This is a crop from the original frame that extends upwards to include the glaciers above Iceberg Lake.

Alan, you've added a hike to my list for then the east side of Glacier finally opens up.

Here's one from Chilnualna Falls in Yosemite.
Sweet falls Kyle. Bring a long lens for Iceberg Falls - they are actually quite a distance from the trail. My shot is the lower half of the scene from a portrait shot taken with a 100mm focal length. I got better close in shots with a 100-400mm. I would love to hike that trail again if the east side opens up by fall.

I usually hike with a long lens on the camera for wildlife anyway, so that works. Maybe we have a meetup in our future!

During my lockdown exercise today I walked out to the location of the little monochrome waterfall to see if I could get a better/ different image. I forgot that we had snow melt and 3 days of rain so the tiny stream had grown some. The scene of the mono is up at the bright oval. It is interesting to see tree trunks weighing several tons just brushed aside.

A 16 shot pano but not a great image but having walked the 2+miles carrying a camera and tripod I felt that I had to use them.

All is not lost because I liked the patterns produced by the water flowing down at the far right and took many shots at different shutter speeds to investigate the patterns produced. One here but I will probably try and produce a triptych. Ken
