Today is the start of a new year of waterfalls :)

My kickoff is a view of the falls known as Sol Duc in Olympic National Park. There were a lot of people at the falls this particular day so wide shots of the scene included more humanity than I cared to try to clone out in PS. My solution was to focus on smaller scenes and this was one of the images I ended up with.

Pile on with your own waterfall images.

My News.
We are in total lockdown for at least the next 7 weeks, allowed out only for food shopping, medical care and local exercise. Schools and colleges are closed as are pubs, restaurants and all non-essential shops and most importantly hospitals are very close to being full. Everyone must work from home if at all possible. The Covid rates have sky rocketed here and my local area's rate has increased 12 fold in 3 weeks and now has about 25% more than the Arizona rate which seems to be the highest state in The USA. So no new images for a while, unless I can walk out of my house and get them. The good news is that we are all well and that is more important than a few snaps and since we are both retired, with sufficient pensions, and our children are still fully paid we can put up with the restrictions until we get vaccinated some time in the Spring. I hope that the USA can avoid the new strains of Covid. Ken

This is a reworking, now in monochrome, of a Scottish waterfall from Jan last year.

Nice rework of these falls Ken. Ouch to the level of the lockdown you are looking at right now o_O We are just now starting to figure out where the new strain might floating around but it is definitely here already.

Thanks for starting this Alan, a lovely view of Sol Duc. Ken, I am truly sorry for the level of the pandemic in your area, stay safe.

One of my American Fork images.
Delightful water textures in this one Ben. Good call on the shutter speed.

Hey, it's flowing/falling water! Like the below the surface features & reflections.
Doug, I think I'm going to shoot at the bird-bath/fountains next time!
My entirely unenforceable criteria for posting is that you must show moving water demonstrating obedience to gravity. Other than standing water anything else fits 😁

I am now officially out of waterfall images and this image I am posting is a week example of a waterfall at best. This along the Swift River in NH.
I've been searching the archives and I found one image that I thought I could contribute. But if you consider this weak, then my image is dead in the water. LOL Not a lot of waterfalls in the SW. I need to make a trip to southern CO in the spring. ;-)

Very nice mage, Ken. I am sorry to hear that you're locked down so tightly. I live in Arizona and we are not locked down that tightly. It seems that those areas that lock down so tightly suffer greater deaths resulting from mental health problems and have higher rates of problems with other diseases. I hope you and your wife are doing alright. I can't wait until this is over and we can all get back to some sense of normalcy.
