The Road to Paria

This is a scene from along the road leading from US89 to the townsite of Paria in southern Utah. One of the hazards to visiting the Colorado Plateau in early April is the ongoing threat of snow in between bouts of sunshine. The temperatures were very much on the chilly side during this trip and there were scattered snow squalls over the distant hills.

Nice image Alan.. Another potential is rain and the resultant mud at low points. Gets real gooey fast.
Thanks - this place and Cottonwood Canyon just to the east are both red flag dirt roads if they get wet. Especially bad in the 2WD rental I was driving 🙄
