Waterfall Wednesday 5/6/2020

Hardly seems like a Wednesday but my calendar says it's time for more waterfalls.

This is a shot from March showing Secret Beach Falls in the Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor along the southern Oregon coastline. Shooting these falls in morning shadow was one of my goals with that trip down the coast.

Pile with your own waterfalls if you have some.

Latourell Falls - one of my favorite destinations in the Gorgeon a wet day which is also my preference. Best of all no crowds in the scene.
Thank you, I could not remember the name after 9 years. Back a decade I did Columbia River Gorge, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon/slot canyons of Arizona on various trips. From the reports they are have been saturated with people this last couple of years. I know the last several years just trying to get a May reservation in a Yosemite hotel was either impossible or way too expensive.

Latourell is the first set of falls heading up the Gorge from the Portland/Vancouver area and about 40 minutes from my house. Latourell, Wahkeena, and Multnomah falls are the most visited places in the Gorge and on a sunny weekend traffic is horrible and parking spots impossible to find. All of the parking areas and the historic highway are closed right now.

That is quite a flow. I have been there in summer and fall and the flow was much smaller.

Water falling up. New Zealand.
When asked about what qualifies as a waterfall I have often mentioned the simple notion that anything depicting water displaying obedience to gravity fits. You just broke my model 😁

Nice twist although I am quite certain the water in your scene does come back down again.
