Lockdown cycle today with yet another new image

I have cycled most days for the past month. Today I brought a small camera ( Fuji XE-1)as most other days the light has been nice but my cheap phone has not been up to the task of getting a decent image. My usual ride is approx 15 miles through the undulating Northern Cumbrian countryside. This is the view towards the Lake District hills approx 25 miles away but my focus was on the small copse lit by the sun. It has only rained briefly 3 times in the last 6 weeks despite the clouds and we need the rain, not the usual comment here. Ken

Dandelions look great at this time of year

I cycle past this tree every day, today I stopped and waited for the sun to appear.

I like the rolling hills and the clouds overhead. The patchy light is a neat bonus.

This reminds me a bit of eastern Washington's Palouse area. For the record the Pacific Northwest in the US is likewise way behind compared to our usual rainfall totals.

What an awesome place to ride your bike. I am glad you brought the Fuji along as these are all really sweet views.

#1 and 3 are my favorites.

Wow - this thread has grown. I commented when there was just one image. I still like #1 but #3 and #4 grab my attention as well. I like that old tree featured in both of these.

Thanks Dean I have just quickly converted it and the low clouds pop and the right hand copse and foreground soil shows promise so will spend some time converting it. Presently getting 8 images prepared for the Landscape Photographer of the Year Competition so it may be next week before I get round to it. Ken
