The South Saskatchewan River runs through Saskatoon and has a man made weir in the middle of the city. I went there yesterday morning to see if the pelicans were feeding where the water pours over the weir. No pelicans were present but this beaver was walking along the concrete abutment.

"Yard birds" only works for me if my yard includes the local river.
Our spring migrants are definitely coming back. The American White Pelicans are a harbinger of spring here in Saskatoon.

On the prairies we are anxious for spring to arrive. I'm sure it must be here because I went out this morning, waded through 7" of new snow that fell overnight and saw this patch of 'Snow Drops' in full bloom.

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
