    The Muffins (Monument Valley)

Playing around with some old images. Enhanced the shadows a bit using the Clarity slider in Lightroom. The second one taken at a different time. Sorta like the little "Cloud" in front of the middle muffin.

    Valley of Fire

Great unique composition of a spot I have been to several times. Getting rid of the scrub in the lower right was an excellent adjustment. Mike

Jim I didn’t mean to infer that your pictures were “bad”. My intent was that I think that it is great that you are taking pictures of birds!!

    Western Washington birds

Jim you are way too kind. There are no bad bird pictures because the fact that you took them means that you saw the bird and as long as you can remember that time and place and at least can ID the bird, you have done what you need to do! thanks Mike P.S. I want some night sky shots like...

Thanks Alan. For detail you just have to be really sneaky and get as close as possible and take a zillion images!

    Chasing Clouds

Lovely shot! The softness of the clouds and the crispness of the landscape makes for a pleasing image with much to take in! Mike
