I am originally from New York City but spent most of my working life overseas, chiefly in Russian- and Chinese-speaking countries (since I speak both), working as a development economist. I have semi-retired and relocated to New Zealand where I own a luxury lodge on the South Island in the town of Oamaru. I am also the chef, for my sins. I enjoy landscape photography and have recently become interested in astrophotography, taking advantage of our clear dark skies.
