Today's Friday's Focus will be on Oregon.

Oregon is a beautiful state from crashing oceans to silent forests and everything in between. So please add your Oregon photographs to this thread.

I will start with one of mine. Before Alan left on this last Oregon Coast trip I told him I thought there was a waterfall in that area and he should check it out. At the time, I wasn't positive on the name, but I was close. So I will start off with one from Hug Point Waterfall.

Hmm - only a couple of hundred miles off on where to look :) I have shot the falls at Hug Point (just south of Cannon Beach) quite a few times since it is a 2 hour drive from my house. This is a sunrise shot looking south along the coast from almost the same spot Jim shot those falls from:

This second image is from where I was this week down near Port Orford looking south at Humbug Mountain. The are intermittent falls on the mountain during the rainy months. This image was not from this last week:

Both are nice images, Alan but I really like the first one.

Great shots of a great state. I get down there at least twice a year for both beach and mountain fun. As usual I'll show the high altitude perspective with a number of shots of Broken Top. Very few people visit the inside of the crater, which made for a wonderful day of early summer skiing for my friend Eric and I a few years ago. Watching rock fall and wet snow slides on the colorful walls of the crater at a safe distance before we skied down was the highlight of the day.

Very cool mountain scenes Jim definitely like that first one.

Resisting the temptation to post a bunch of images as Oregon is one of my favorites places. Here is one looking from Rowena Crest down on the gorge.

Very nice Jameel. I have always wanted to shoot the wildflowers along the Columbia River Gorge. What time of year is the best time to go?

Great images all, Jim. I especially like the detail of the crater wall. Could it be because I am a geologist?

Hey Alan... well... I did get the first 2 letters correct in the name of where the waterfall I was thinking of was. That's only 100 miles per letter... :)

Here is another one. This is of Mt Hood from Trillium lake. There was a few people kayaking in the lake, so for a few shots I decided to incorporate them.
