Nice starting point Ben.

My contribution is a shot from December of 2015 during a 10 day period with an incredible string of storms that dropped more than a foot of rain along the coast. This was shot at Harris Beach State Park just before I packed up and fled to a more protected campground. As it turned out there were 60+ mph winds with 3 inches of rain that night.

Lighting conditions were not the best and the airborne salt spray left a lot of glare in the air just above the beaches. There wasn't much color in the scene so I converted the scene to a B&W with Silver Efex.

Ben - love the colors and the viewpoint, almost looks like a drone shot. Alan, that's wonderful - really get the feeling of the storm, and in this case I LOVE the faster shutter speed for water treatment.

This is a very fun idea for posting.

Here is mine - a shot from a spot in Joshua Tree NP. We were on the way through there to San Diego. It was VERY windy here, and the lighting was fantastic but just too much for the camera to capture. After my initial struggles to tame it with a color rendition I came back to it much later, converted it to B&W, and released the struggle of getting the entire sky to come back.

B&W was a great choice for this lovely image. Great depth and drama here.

This is from a trip to arches some years back. It was the last day there and had a tripod malfunction. Had to do most of my shooting handheld and towards the end of the day had to use high ISO. This was also metered for the sky and so the ground was dark and boosting shadows made the noise pretty bad. Topaz DeNoise to the rescue. The latest Denoise can take the RAW file and do noise reduction. Pretty happy with the result.

Not exactly sure about the arch - likely either the north or south window.

Mine is of Bryce Canyon. The original had the foreground way too dark and garish in color, and the sky was far too bright. I worked on this for quite a while but couldn't completely tame the overly bright highlights in the sky. I did, however, get the clouds and the foreground in balance. As Leo Durocher once said, "You win some and you lose some and sometimes you get rained out."

You tamed this one very nicely overall. The bright part of the sky with that much sun will always be slightly blown, but you have some color in there which saves the day.
