Fridays Focus - 11/17 - Reflections

As we kick off our inaugural Fridays Focus, the theme today is Reflections.

Remember this is for Landscapes only, we will be kicking off ones in the City and Nature forums over the next few months.

Here is my entry to start it off, from a recent trip to Yosemite to shoot fall colors. The water levels are always low this time of year, but not far from the Merced river I found this small pocket of water that reflected El Capitan nicely I thought.

Now, let's see everyone elses Reflection shots. It's totally acceptable to be digging in the archives.

Now that's a very nice reflection Andrey!

Wednesdays will always be Waterfalls, but on Fridays you never know what the focus will be.... Reflections this week, next week could be clouds or trees or maybe a location like Death Valley.

Really nice -- love the abstract nature of the colorful clouds grounded by the land. Earth, sky, water & fire (in the sky): you've got it all there!

This was by the Tuolumne River near the base of Pothole Dome. I love that area.

this is absolutely gorgeous

Very nice, Ben. How did you get on the other side of the river?. I have only been on the right side of the river near Fisher Towers.

This is right by hwy 26 after i swings north. It's on the east side of the river here. Closer to Moab it's on the south side, so this is the same side of the river,

Ellery Lake, Yosemite NP.

Archive dive: from 2015. Jokulsarlon, the Glacier Lagoon, of course. Taken just before dawn. A very slow moving aurora, so I was able to mess around with different compositions.
