A New Theme

We have a new Theme we would like to try out, it's a bit darker then our old theme.

Starting Thursday Friday morning, the plan is to use it for 2 days and take feedback from you guys.

So please share what you like or don't like about it.

There will be no hurt feelings if you say it stinks, or if you love it. (I know that didn't make sense)

But be honest and comment here in the Reply.

You know the funny thing is, as I was getting ready for bed and it came to me that it seemed like I needed to get a Friday's Focus started and I checked the day and saw it was now 1am on Friday and my very first thought was "Whoops" I had put Thursday in the message about the New Theme.... Some where during the day yesterday I had lost a day....

Looks like what I had been using up till this morning - except my thread titles were in green, not blue.
I liked the green better, but I do like this one.

I have been using it since yesterday afternoon and so far I mostly like it.

Notes so far:
I don't like the removal of the scroll bar on the right hand side of the web page.
I wish the selected media images at the top of the screen filled out to the edges of the page. As it stands I see some thumbnails that go about half to two thirds the way across and then the rest of the area is blank. More images can fit in that space.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for dumping the old logo. This one's a lot nicer. And thanks for losing the blue header background and blue bold text everywhere. And under New Posts column on the right, I think it's better to have the OP's name shown rather than the last poster.

The Featured/Random Images along the top is a tough one. Because it doesn't do a Square Crop on them, you will notice it fills out that space differently each time (every 5 minutes) it grabs new images depending on how many are vertical or horizontal. I had thought too about resizing them based on their width as opposed to height, but then you would have a jagged alternating top edge between verticals and horizontals. For now, that's the best we can do with that.

I still see a scroll bar. It is dark grey on black though, which makes it easy to miss.

Yep, there is a couple of places that are almost too dark on dark and make it hard to pick out. We will have to identify those, and just touch up those spots.

It's the vertical scroll that exists on almost every web page. I do not have one at all using Safari on MacOS 10.15.4. It's not just a different color - clicking in that space should scroll the page even if I don't grab the scroll tab and in this case it does not.

The Featured/Random Images are pretty mcc cosmetics so no biggie.

I do get the arrows and I certainly can scroll with either my trackpad or the mouse wheel. Here is another web site (also using XenForo) showing the scroll bar. The previous themes had one of these.

So you are not able to scroll up and down a forum list, except for using your mouse wheel or trackball. That’s not good.

I do get the arrows but not the scroll bar. If it was there but darkened out I should be able to scroll by clicking in the space where it would be anyway but that isn't the case.
