Thursday’s Task

I love taking reflection shots, but I'll limit myself to two...

1) Castle Mountain in Banff where I really had to work to get this reflection in a fairly small pool

2) Autumn in Yosemite...

Kyle, another truly beautiful set of landscapes you’ve posted here—with beautiful reflections. Perfect “seeing the scene” in your Banff photo—impressive composition!

I am a sucker for reflections. I am going to restrain myself to just a few and avoid places others have posted.

Lake O'Hara, Yoho National Park, British Columbia

Jameel, I love your series of landscape reflection images—each are well-captured and seen. The Badwater image is one of my favorites—the interspersed snow atop mountain’s reflection adds to the image’s visual interest. The Sparks Lake photo is perfect—I love the simplicity of composition.

Dan, beautiful images—I love the Mono Lake capture but perhaps my favorite is the second June Lakes. The Maine autumn woods scenes are beautiful scenes as well. Love the fallen logs in the water—nice lines.
The Maine trip was a gift. My wife asked where I wanted to go for my 60th (in the Fall). I said "Maine & stay at your brothers"!

Another couple of reflection images but very different from my last post. Made possible by the very flat beaches of the European Atlantic coast. Ken

Northern Spain and probably the most beautiful beach I have ever visited, not for anyone wanting beachside bars or any facilities, just 4 miles of soft sand backed by low dunes and almost total solitude.

Ken, two very nice landscapes you’ve added. I favor the first image—perfect!

Thanks John. The white stuff in the Badwater image is salt, not snow.

Seems we had this topic before but always worth another round.

Jeffrey, beautiful landscapes all especially the first and second images—so very nice. I recall seeing your second image posted on FocalWorld before—nice to see it once again!

I reviewed my Thursday’s Task notes beginning December 30, 2021 and I had not posted the topic, “Reflections in the landscape” until this week. (Perhaps this topic was used prior to my assuming this role).
