Reflections of Fall

Fall colors can be quite subtle in the Cascades and is often confined to the ground layers around the spruce and firs. This is a good example of that during an early October visit in the Reflection Lakes area of Mt. Rainier National Park.

Yep, you always blow my mind with these "fall" colors.

It's clearly fall as one can see from the underbrush, but I have gotten so used to the vibrant fall colors I get to capture, that it's almost like culture shock to see these.
