It was just a matter of time - Photoshop AI

One more test, this time the Milky way added to a night scene

may look okay here, but I was asked for a print and the quality is junk. Apparently works well for small uses like text message, social media. Otherwise it doesn't make the cut.
I can actually see this as being kind of fun.

The question is, what do we call it? I guess it's part photograph. But is the other part graphic art? Or what?

I was playing with the new remove tool. It did a much better job than my cloning in these, guessing well what to fill the empty spaces with. It is impossible in a crowded beach to avoid people, but removing the distracting ones in the foreground (the first image below had a woman lying in the "surf" right front) is really nice.

So the tool bar, no matter how many times I pin it in place, when I load a new photo, it loads up on top of the new photo. That's a bit annoying.

Go to the Window Menu and uncheck Contextual Task Bar. It goes away.....
Yes, it goes away that way. But I am using it, so I don't want to have to check and uncheck with every single photo I edit. So that's the issue. Whether it's dust bunnies or stray branches, I am using the select tool on every single photo I edit. So it's becoming a real pain, real fast. I want to use their new tool, but I am about to uncheck it as you said, and I will simply go back to Auto-fill.

the real problem for me is that it doesn't feel like it's my work anymore.

Guilt is going to keep you honest 😁

Sadly not all photographers think that way so brace yourself for what is to come......

It does a great job. Looks pretty realistic to me.

Tim, I agree with you. That would be my problem in that it feels wrong. But it's amazing, on Facebook there are Ad's occasionally for that Lumo (something) sky replacement software. And I have looked at the comments, and there are thousands upon thousands of people glowing over how they can replace their horrible skies with these new magically great skies. I don't understand how that many people can be proud their photo is half fake?

What happened to the mindset that if you weren't happy with the sky or the weather conditions, you would then simply plan a return trip to go back and try again. Even if that meant a dozen return trips. Somewhere this new generation has lost grasp on how fulfilling it is to actually strive for something, and work towards something. Instead everything just needs to be given to them immediately with no effort on their part?
