Busy Badwater

This is from Badwater in Death Valley from a few days back. I wanted to find a place where I could get people movement and I thought about the main parking area at Badwater.

This was shot at 3 second intervals for the main shots. My second camera was set up at 2 second intervals so I could see what looked best, but I ended up speeding it up to match the pace of the 3 second intervals when I assembled this in Movavi.

The clouds were pretty fleeting on this day. It was supposed to be totally clear, but there was some clouds going around Badwater so I worked it for a bit until the clouds did finally dissipate.

I went with a faster paced music to go along with the faster pace that the people in the timelapse introduced.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

You definitely got some good people movement. The scattered clouds worked well since they show lots of motion for this sequence.

I think the pace of the people matches the music quite well. I like the zoom out to the sky and clouds. I notice the screen goes black before the music stops. I try to fade both out for the last 2-5 seconds and end about the same time. Is there a preferred method?

Thanks so much Ben.

As to the end, I just tried this as an experiment. All of my other ones the music and video end at the same point and the music fades out. I just wanted to see how it would feel leaving the FocalWorld name up on a black screen at the end for a bit longer for name recognition to the audience. So just playing around with that.

Thanks so much Alan, it was fun. Clouds are harder for me to find compared to Ben, so when I saw the clouds I knew I had to try and capture them.

Nice location for TL. The clouds, though scattered, add to the scene. Somehow the people movement is not my thing.

Thanks Jameel for looking. The moving people may not be for everyone, I don't know why but I love the look of the people like they are a bunch of ants or are skating instead of walking. As you can tell I have quite a mix of timelapse going, there is not one single genre I would focus on.
