British Columbia Grasslands

This June, I took a solo camper/truck trip into the interior of British Columbia to seek out the grasslands there.

I have enjoyed all my trips into southeast Oregon with the sagebrush hills and wide open skies. So this year I thought about exploring similar landscapes within my own province.

I was pleasantly surprised that there was an abundance of blooming wildflowers and I managed to get some awesome campsites. One thing about the wide open landscape is I could do several off-trail hikes without much effort nor navigation concerns. Unfortunately the weather did not always cooperate, but it never was that bad. I discovered some nice areas and will certainly return to some.

I am borrowing my son's drone for a while, so there are a few “aerial” photos in there.

Neat grasslands and blooms. Not a landscape I was expecting to see in BC so your image collection was a nice treat.
Thanks, Alan. I just posted a Travel Guide Article of my Southeast Oregon trips - just to inform folks about this lightly visited, but scenic area.
I also posted a link to that article in the "Landscape" presentations. I hope that was OK.
