Big Rock, Little Tree

Here, again, is my favorite tree in Zion National Park. This Pinion Pine lives on the East Zion Plateau at around 6000 feet in elevation. Not only does the tree itself have a shapely figure, but it is also situated in an extremely photogenic location amidst the soaring sandstone walls. 665nm converted Nikon DSLR.

Almost an alien feel to this scene with the IR rendering. Very nice.

What an amazing pile of rock! It's like an old Robinhood hat for Errol Flynn to wear with the feather poking out the side.
