Beaver in the daytime.

The South Saskatchewan River runs through Saskatoon and has a man made weir in the middle of the city. I went there yesterday morning to see if the pelicans were feeding where the water pours over the weir. No pelicans were present but this beaver was walking along the concrete abutment.

You can really see the webbing on the back foot as the beaver is moving along.

The beaver found a suitable twig to munch on.

That's such a cool find Trent! I have found lot's of Beaver dams through the years, but have not seen many beavers except a few beavers in the water and their heads poking up. I have never captured a beaver as well as this. So for you to do it in the middle of the city is really cool.

Both views also give some nice detail on the flat tail that also really sets beavers apart.
