The lid of my compost bin continues to provide spiders for photography.
After lifting the lid a large spider scooted out onto the top so I closed the lid and it just sat in the sun as I pushed my camera into its face. It sat quite still so I took a shot at f18 and then a stack of 50 images with a flash and it didn't move so the stack came out quite clean.
I'm still not sure which image I prefer, but there is something about seeing the whole body in focus that is intriguing.

Focus is on the eyes at f18 and quite close so relatively small DOF.
