I posted a photo last week of the sunrise in Sedona and said to the right was moody and cloudy. This was the view when the clouds broke a bit.
CC Welcome.
Watch as the Red drains off the cliffs of Arizona as the sun sets in the west.
Taken last month with the DJI Mini 2 Drone. This is an area I have driven by for years and years and finally was able to stop, or decided I wasn't in such a hurry I could stop. :)
As you watch the Red fade as I fly...
So here is the 2nd narrowband effort from my remote imaging in Green Valley, AZ. This was collected over a handful of nights in April and May of this year. The post processing was again time consuming, but not as bad as my Elephant Trunk, both because this is a brighter object, and also because...
Twin Buttes above Turkey Creek (Infrared). A towering cottonwood and a smaller piñon pine frame this rugged pair of sandstone monuments in the Coconino National Forest south of Sedona, Arizona.
Tech info: Nikon D3200 camera (modified for infrared with 590nm filter), Nikon 28-300mm lens at...
Who sez that infrared only applies to landscapes? IR can do some very nice things in portraits too... e.g.,...
Le Chapeau (Infrared). The beautiful Rhiannon sports her fedora during a session at Red Bench Photo Studio in Jerome, Arizona. Infrared light reveals an otherwise unseen radiance...
My wife was a bit hesitant about descending into the canyon, but the ropes set up on the initial steep slope helped. A wonderful day all by ourselves, with these nice clouds in the morning.
So this is hopefully a tantalizer of what will prove to be a number of images I am going to be able to finally post. This is the last thing I collected while my friend was down in AZ the first time, putting the last 48 minutes into this to cap off about 37 hours of data collection. It will take...
Springtime at Turkey Creek Tank (Infrared). These are the (false) colors of an infrared photo captured recently along a trail outside of Sedona, Arizona. I processed the image to resemble the look of Kodak’s old Aerochrome color infrared film (though the foliage here doesn’t quite have the...
So in spite of pulling the plug on my trip to AZ due to coronavirus concerns, with my friend's generous help I have been able to have my gear set up and do some checkout and even a little imaging. The weather has been usable most of the nights, and now that my gear is assembled, I could...
I hate to be borrowing from Amy's recent title, but I couldn't help it.
My photo might show what Amy's tree could look like in 10,000 years... :)
So on my way from Sedona to Santa Fe yesterday and I swung through the Petrified Forest to do a little more video work on a project I am...
On my way to Sedona yesterday to meet up with Doug, Eric, Tom, Guy and Bob I saw this scene that made me stop and jump out in the 109 degree heat for a minute.
It’s shot with the Sony A6400 and then processed on my iPhone so hopefully it looks good. That’s my on the road setup to shoot and...
Visited AZ in May. Got to see tons of ruins in the four corners area. Here's one of Spider Rock. Not the best light. Lots of hard shadows. I finally started using photoshop more for editing. Couldn't get the hang of all the masks and what not so I bought a plug in from Jimmy McIntyre that has...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
