Would this be a fair back up for an R5? It would mostly be used for time lapse. I can't justify an R6 for time lapse. I have sent my 5DSR to MPB to sell if they agree on my condition assessment.
But does it have exposure smoothing?Don’t have one but going just by the specs it should work fine. The controls are a bit different but nothing that should be deal breaker. It’s smaller and lighter than R6 and does all the 4K stuff that R6 can do.
That's a great question. Canon does not say much about it. I have looked high and low for it in the R5 manual and menus but can't find a thing. Obviously it does in video mode. But does it have exposure smoothing?
Yeah, it's odd it's a part of Focus Bracketing. That's not Video. And it has it as a On/Off toggle, so if it was included in the Video performance, you would think that there would be an On/Off toggle for it in the video setup as well?According to this article the RP does have this feature. The 5D4 doesn't.
