Great examples Dan! I can't choose a favorite orientation or image, all four are well seen and captured. Love the B&W which seems to often work well with snowy scenes. The deeper blues of the sky reflection in the water adjacent to the golds of the mountain is especially nice in your first images.
Stunning shots Ken! Both orientations work well in your waterfall images and if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the last pair. Great job!Waterfalls from me.

Doug, beautiful examples all—I love the two different foreground viewpoints afforded by camera orientation in the lighthouse images. And in the Antelope Valley images I was surprised that I like the horizontal image as much as the vertical, with the absence of the sky. Both are great images! The Bartlett Lake landscapes also are especially beautiful—I favor the “landscape” landscape but the portrait image also works very well.Nice topic, John, and another great masthead. Here are my contributions.

Jeffrey, you're right, I do recognize this location! Excellent images of the Arch––very nice color! My favorite is the vertical orientation but both are very nice!
These images are great Sonny, what a view! Both orientations work well for this subject––I really like the wide expanse viewpoint captured. From atop the La Bajada Mesa looking down into Cochiti NM.

Jameel, excellent compositions you’ve shared in both orientations––the portrait orientation of the Icefield Parkway is an excellent example. With the Aspens image, I cannot choose a favorite—that’s a good thing!Very interesting topic John and as usual a very creative masthead.
A couple of examples from me.

Beautiful images Kyle with perfect compositions—in either orientation. The Davenport Crack and the Salt Point Waterfall images are perhaps my favorites—very difficult to choose. Here are a few examples:
