The versatility of a raw file - Runners at the beach

This is from like 2019 -The original was exposed for the sky which made the runners very silhouetted. Thankfully the RAW file had the latitude in it to be recovered !

Yep, that's why we all shoot in Raw.

But.... I have to say you lost the life of the image in your recovery. The Original is the best here.

I like the original with the wonderful colors and the silhouettes. Nice you can recover the shadows but the scene looks better without the foreground of parked cars.

great job on the recovery, but i prefer the original as well. great colors in the sky. wouldn't mind seeing the first one in an x-pan ratio.

OMG - I am so dumb.. when I said original below, I meant "At the bottom" - The first image is the recovered image lol, I was like WHAT !! Yeah, it was all blown out and I was able to recover the highs and get the sky color back. The bottom image is nothing to be excited about ! You are so kind to humor me though, thanks !
