The Nose

Hi y'all.

Early this year I got a new version of Sony 24-70mm G master II lens, after having used the first gen for a few years. Gotta say I love this lens so much.

It's light, sharp, fast, coupled with the A7RIV, 61MP resolution, the combo gives a lot of cropping space.

This shot was taken from tunnel view, instead of the usual wide valley-perspective, I concentrated on the nose of El Capitan, just when the morning sun piereced through the thick clouds. I noticed the shadows on the cliff became more prominent.

Enjoy.

Awesome Oliver! I love the way it's being lit.

Tunnel View is one of the few places in the world where I will be shooting long focal lengths in addition to my normal wide angles. It's such a great location!

Nicely composed and working with that light.

Thanks Jameel, the light is elusive in the winter.

Jim, thanks. As you are familiar with the location, I find the part to the west of bridal veil is good too.
This is totally awesome Oliver. The light you captured was perfect.

Bob, thanks, the light was only shone for 2 min.

Great light on the Captan!

Thanks Monika, it was a fleeting light, I was quick to catch it.
