Shades of Gray

I was listening to "The Elephant Whisperer" on my way to & from (& back home) Kenya. Learned a lot about these giants e.g. besides communicating with ear movements & vibrations through the ground, their belly rumblings are another form of communication. They also identify newcomers to their turf by smelling them, as in #2. When elephants are in musk, they secrete a fluid from behind their eyes (towards their ears), as in #1.

Very nice Monica. The first is crisp and detailed. The second one is my favorite as it shows behavior. The last has a sort of sad look as if it's crying.

Neat images and background info on their behaviors. I am torn between the nice B&W in the first one and the second one with the excellent pose and profile.
