Setting movies to Raw

The manual says you can set the movie files as either Raw of MP4 but I am unable to locate a place to do this. I have checked the manual and the camera menus. If not in one of the movie modes, I can set the output format, and it will produce a movie, but as an Mp4 even if set to raw. If I am in one of the movie settings (mode) there does not seem to be anyplace to change to Raw from MP4.

The raw is only for 8K I believe and it also needs a CFE card which can handle that date rate. I have not played with any video however.

Thanks Jameel. that explains why I can't get the menu, I probably need a CFE card to get it to show.

I am about to quit movies. I just tried a time lapse and had no problem getting the settings. But the last screen message after taking a test shot says to press the movie icon and then start the time lapse. But there is no movie icon to press.

I frequently run into this problem where instructions say to do something without telling you where to find the menu or button or icon. Photoshop is famous for this.

Thanks Kyle. it did. I watched a video and it showed that. Funny instructions, it should have said to press the record button, but that does not start the recording, you also have to press the shutter button to start the recording. I just took my first time lapse.

I've never done a time lapse, but I always figured I'd just shoot a series of photos so I could have complete control (I'm funny like that).
