I finally had a couple of clear nights so I was able to get 4 more hours added to the other 4 hours I got back in 2018. This is from my backyard in a bortle 8 zone with my neighbors patio light shining towards me., thank you narrow band filters. I used the Takahashi FSQ106 with a 0.73 reducer. ASI1600mm and Astrodon 5nm filters.

I am not sure I have seen an image that so clearly resembled the outline of a soaring bird. Beautiful colors.

Fantastic - you managed to get the entire nebula in, which I could not do with my setup. As Ben says, that really accentuates the resemblance to a bird. You also got those 2 'spot' nebula patches that appear above the right wing area. Very cool. And a similar palette to mine, which I like quite a bit. excellent rendition!

Awesome work Chuck! I really like the way this looks. I want to go after this again and hopefully I can get my palette to look similar to yours here. I am waiting until I put the reducer in my scope as at 500mm it just barely fits in the field of view for me.

When I capture mine again, I will be coming back to this one of yours as a guideline for how it should look.

Thanks Mike! With the reducer on I was able to rotate so I could get most of it.

Thanks Jim, the reducer will really help, it gets me to 387mm on my setup.

I have a possibility to get a lightly used Rotator at a screaming deal of a price - I am trying to figure out if it will work with my setup right now to see if I want to get it.

Since it's a remote setup it would be to great benifit. Some of these objects need to be rotated to get everything you want to fit in the view. I hope you canmake it work.
